Worklists are the primary tool for organising and managing studies in Sirona. This chapter explains the default worklists, how to customize worklist views, how to create and manage custom worklists, and how to use queue and assignment tools to support day-to-day workflow.

Worklist overview

The Sirona Worklist window is the central hub for accessing and managing studies. Public and private worklists appear in the left-side drawer, and the selected worklist determines which studies are shown in the main case list.

Public worklists

Public worklists are visible to all users with the appropriate permissions. Standard public worklists include:

  • Pending - studies waiting to be read
  • In Progress - studies currently being read, held as draft reports, or assigned to specific users
  • Recently Read- studies read in the last 30 days
  • QC- studies that need to be edited by the tech (missing images/quality issues)

Private worklists

Private worklists are user-specific. The standard private worklist is My Queue, which holds studies assigned to you and contains your draft reports. When a study is in My Queue, it is removed from Pending and is moved to the In Progress worklist.

Search, Filter and Sort

Within any worklist, use the search field to quickly locate specific studies. Use column headers to sort and filter:

  • Select a column header to sort ascending or descending.
  • Select the column filter box to apply multi-select filters.
  • Remove a filter by selecting the X next to the applied value.

Customize Columns

Select Columns in the upper-right corner of the worklist to choose which columns are displayed. Check a box to show a column; clear it to remove it. Column choices apply only to the specific worklist you are viewing.

Important: If you change columns on a public worklist and those changes affect all users who access that worklist.

To pin a column, hover to the right of the column name and select Pin to left or Pin to right.

Create a custom worklist

Custom worklists allow you to organize studies around your organization's workflow needs. Depending on your permissions, you can create both public and private custom worklists.

  1. In the left-side worklist drawer, click the + icon next to Public Worklists.
  2. Enter a Worklist Name.
  3. Select a Worklist Type:
    1. Private - visible only to you
    2. Public - visible to users with appropriate permissions
  4. Add the filters needed for the new worklist.
  5. Configure any advanced settings.
  6. Select Save.

Note: If you only have the permission to create Private Worklists and not Public Worklists, you will only see the + icon next to Private Worklists.

Create a worklist from an existing worklist

Use this method when you want to start from a worklist that is already close to the view you need.

  1. Open an existing worklist, such as Pending.
  2. Apply the desired filters and adjust the columns.
  3. Select the arrow next to Save Worklist.
  4. Select Save as New Worklist.
  5. Review the captured filters in the Create Worklist panel.
  6. Add or remove filters as needed.
  7. Save the new worklist.

Warning: Selecting Save Worklist directly saves changes to the current worklist. If you are working from a public worklist, that change affects all users who access it. Use Save as New Worklist when you want to create a separate worklist instead.

Note: If you accidentally save over an existing worklist, use Revert to Last Save to restore the previous configuration.

Add filters The Filters section captures the filters you applied before opening the Create Worklist panel, and you can add more filters from within the panel by selecting Add more filters.

Advanced settings Expand Advanced Settings to configure additional worklist behavior. Available options include:

  • Keep STAT exams at the top- prioritize urgent studies above all others
  • Show exam count in left drawer- displays the number of studies next to the worklist name
  • Lock selected filters- prevents accidental changes to filter settings

Manage existing custom worklists

To manage a custom worklist, click the ellipsis next to the worklist name. Available actions include:

  • Edit Worklist- change filters, columns or settings
  • Clone Worklist- duplicate an existing worklist as a starting point for a new one
  • Delete Worklist- permanently remove a worklist you no longer need

Combine worklists

You can view multiple worklists at the same time without creating a new one. To combine worklists, click the + icon next to a worklist name and add it to the current view. Combined views can be useful when you need to monitor more than one queue at once.

View study history

To review the audit trail for a study, click the ellipsis at the far right of the study row, then click View History. The audit trail includes workflow-status changes and exam-status progression, including QC, Pending, Locked, and Complete states.
